Saga Universal Training Corp. (“Saga”) is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of individuals personal information. This privacy statement sets out the information gathering and dissemination practices for personal information collected by Saga from its employees, contractors, training providers, instructors, students and clients. Whether in the singular or plural, the terms employees, contractors, training providers, instructors, students and clients will all now collectively be referred to as the “Parties”.

This privacy statement describes Saga’s practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of the information that it collects about Parties such as name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. Saga may collect this information when Parties subscribe to or sign a company up for certain services which Saga provides; when Parties fill out forms made available by Saga; when Parties submit resumes; when Parties e-mail Saga with general inquiries, comments or suggestions, or otherwise in connection with Parties’ interactions with Saga. Saga will limit the information it collects, to what is needed for the intended purposes for which it was collected. If Saga wishes to use a Parties information for any other purpose, it will obtain consent from Parties before using the information for such purpose.

By filling in any Saga logoed forms; forms provided by Saga or submitting documentation to Saga, Parties are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by Saga, in accordance with this privacy statement. If this privacy statement is not acceptable to Parties, they should not fill in and, or submit any Saga logoed forms; forms provided by Saga or documentation to Saga.

What personal data Saga collects and why the data is collected


When site visitors leave comments on the Saga site, Saga collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with the activity of spam detection.

An anonymized string created from Parties email addresses (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if Parties are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of a Parties comments,  a Parties profile picture is visible to the public in the context of the Parties comment.


If Parties upload images to the website, Parties should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms


If Parties leave a comment on the Saga site, Parties may opt-in to saving their name, email address and website in cookies. These are for a Parties’ convenience so that they do not have to fill in their details again when they leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If Parties have an account and log in to Saga’s site, Saga will set a temporary cookie to determine if their browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded once the browser is closed.

When Parties log in, Saga will also set up several cookies to save Parties login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If Parties select “Remember Me”, Parties logins will persist for two weeks. If Parties log out of their account, the login cookies will be removed.

If Parties edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in their browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behave in the same manner as if Parties had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about Parties, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor Parties interactions with that embedded content, including tracking Parties interactions with the embedded content if Parties have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long Saga retains Parties data

If Parties leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This practice occurs in order to allow Saga to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on Saga’s website (if any), Saga also stores the personal information Parties provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit this information.

From time to time, Saga may use third party service providers to assist with its’ business operations. In some instances, Parties data may be made available to these third parties in connection with the service being provided. In these circumstances, Saga puts appropriate confidentiality arrangements in place with the third party service providers, in order to protect a Parties information from being accessed or used for purposes other than the purpose for which the information was collected.

Saga does not sell or trade personal information to other organizations or companies.

What rights Parties have over their data

For Parties who have an account on this site, or have left comments, these Parties can request to receive an exported file of the personal data Saga possesses about them, including any data Parties have provided to Saga. Parties can also request that Saga erase any personal data Saga holds with respect to Parties. This does not include any data Saga is obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Changes to this Privacy Statement

Saga may update this privacy statement from time to time. Parties submitting personal information to Saga are responsible for reviewing the most current version of this privacy statement which is available on Saga’s website. A Parties continued use of the Saga site or the submission of information will be deemed the Parties conclusive acceptance of the updated privacy statement.


Saga takes precautions to protect Parties’ information. When Parties submit sensitive information via the website, the information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever Saga collects sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to Saga in a secure manner. Parties can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

Saga uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online. Saga also protects Parties information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
