Wildlife Awareness Training

This course is intended for anyone who may encounter wildlife while at work or play and wants to know what to do in the event of an encounter. It is a full, comprehensive knowledge course and is proudly hosted by Saga Training for iSafety. The blended, online portion will take approximately 3 hours to complete. It is recommended that a basic skills assessment deploying bear spray be completed afterwards. Suncor Energy has approved this course for its workers and contractors and requires the deployment of bear spray as part of the training.

Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Training

This course is intended for those who may be exposed to hazards such as low oxygen, caustic, or toxic atmospheres. Respiratory Protective equipment is extremely crucial to the wellbeing of any worker who may be exposed to a hazardous environment. It is a full, comprehensive knowledge course, not an awareness course. The blended, online portion will take approximately 3 hours to complete. It is recommended that a basic skills assessment donning and doffing SCBA be completed afterwards. This course follows the established and accepted guidelines, principles and recommendations established by the Ontario Health and Safety Act and Regulations and the Canadian Standards Association.

Hazardous materials training

This course is intended for those wanting to understand the how gases behave and how they’re controlled. It is designed to introduce the end-user to the basic concepts, hazards, and hazard control processes associated with atmospheric testing. It is a full, comprehensive knowledge course, not an awareness course. It will take approximately 3 hours to complete. This course follows the guidelines, principles and recommendations established by common Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation, and industry established and accepted safety standards

Powered Mobile Equipment Operator

This course is intended for Powered Mobile Equipment operators. It provides the minimum training requirements to ensure operators have the basic knowledge and skills required for the safe operation of their equipment and its attachments. The course can be applied to most PME but focuses on loaders, lift trucks (classes 1,2,3,4,5, 7 including variable reach), excavator, motor grader, and crawler dozer. It is a full, comprehensive knowledge course, not an awareness course. The blended, online portion will take approximately 3 hours to complete. After completing the online portion, the CSA standard requires an operator complete a basic skills assessment for the equipment they operate. This course is intended for front-end, skid steer and compact track loader operators. It provides the minimum training requirements to ensure operators have the basic knowledge and skills required for the safe operation of their loader and its attachments. This course is intended for Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) operators and their passengers. It provides the minimum training requirements to ensure operators have the basic knowledge and skills required for the safe operation of their MEWP’s and focuses primarily on boom lifts and scissor lifts but can also be used for other types of lifts found in the workplace. It is a full, comprehensive knowledge course, not an awareness course. The blended, online portion will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
